LET’S DO THIS TOGETHER
Donors, volunteers and foundations like D2A can act as allies to social justice movements, by contributing not only monetary resources but their time, knowledge, skills and networks.
In social change philanthropy, the process of giving is as important as where the money goes. Asking those who are directly affected by and working on an issue what to fund is a key part of this process as we get to the roots of problems, instead of only addressing the symptoms.
D2A believes that the only way to solve problems at scale is to equip affected communities with the tools and resources they need to activate their strengths, have their voices heard, and be at the centre of their own solution-making.
INTERVENTION LOGIC FOR REDUCING THE BARRIERS TO GAINING A DRIVERS LICENCE
Purpose is born of a desire to make a contribution to something greater than ourselves.
Our strategic priority is to support social change by funding the innovative Driving Force Academy to create a true step change in licensing compliance and transport disadvantage.
We need to help our young people get their licence faster- to get a job, care for dependants or get off the justice roundabout.
You can make a difference. Help us towards our goal: happy, healthy young people reaching their potential and to feel valued and respected. We rely on donations to provide vital programs and services to disadvantaged Indigenous young people.
All donations over $2 are tax-deductible and will be credited to Desire to Aspire.

Desire to Aspire has a wide range of opportunities to make use of your skills, experience and knowledge.
Whether you are providing life guidance, becoming a supervised driving mentor, helping us manage exciting events or spreading the word about Desire to Aspire, we would love you to lend a hand. Get in touch with us here or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for a chat about volunteering opportunities.
All Driving Mentors undergo a National Police Clearance, a Working With Children Check (WWCC), and a suitability interview with the Volunteer Coordinator. Mentors undertake a series of Induction Videos which examinate the Mentor role and on-road communication. Mentors are also provided with reference materials relating to current road rules.
Desire to Aspire is looking for like-minded organisations to help us change the lives of our participants. Learn more about how you can help with funding the Driving Force Academy and aligned support services here.
We require long-term funding to build organisational capacity, to experiment with new solutions and to build both scale and sustainability.
Desire to Aspire is a Registered Public Benevolent Association on the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission Charity Register.
